Job description

Location : Lybia / Sabha


Scope of Work 


1.Reporting & Coordination

  • Report directly to the Project Manager and follow instructions regarding project execution.
  • Coordinate daily with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure smooth integration of civil works.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants during site activities, walkthroughs, and inspections.
  • Maintain clear communication channels for progress updates, issues, and approvals.

2. Construction Administration Duties

  • Ensure all civil works conform to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Verify that the latest design and shop drawings are properly logged, updated, and distributed to subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) for approval.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the work program (Microsoft Project/Primavera) to align with project schedules.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Review subcontractors’ work progress and support the QS team in validating quantities.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of site records.

3. Site Works Responsibilities

Concrete Works

  • Ensure site levels conform to drawings.
  • Inspect and validate formwork stability, plumb, and alignment.
  • Check Bar Bending Schedule compliance, rebar sections, and workmanship against structural shop drawings.
  • Verify installation of MEP reservations in slabs and walls.
  • Supervise concrete pouring, validate slump tests, and ensure cylinder sampling for lab testing.
  • Monitor curing activities.

Finishing Works

  • Supervise and follow up on blockwork, plastering, tiling and painting.
  • Inspect false ceiling installations for alignment and compliance.
  • Oversee aluminum works (doors, windows, curtain walls) ensuring proper sealing and durability.
  • Monitor carpentry works including doors, cabinets, and wooden finishes.
  • Ensure finishing works are coordinated with MEP installations and executed in sequence.
  • Conduct inspections, prepare snag lists, and follow up on rectifications prior to handover.

4. Deliverables

  • Approved WIRs and inspection reports.
  • Daily site logs and weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Updated work program aligned with project schedule.
  • Snag lists and handover documentation.



Skills

•           Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering.

•           Proven expertise in project execution, site supervision, and compliance with engineering standards.

•           Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with stakeholders and project teams.

•           Willingness to be based in Sabha for the duration of the assignment.
