Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Objective:
To ensure the accurate and efficient recording, processing, and reporting of all financial transactions in alignment with approved accounting standards. This role supports strategic financial decision-making, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations in Kuwait, and contributes to improving financial performance, cash flow monitoring, and budget tracking.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Financial and Accounting Records Management
Accurately record daily financial transactions (journal entries, expenses, revenues) in the accounting system.
Verify the validity and accuracy of accounting documents including invoices, payment orders, and receipts.
Maintain and review general and subsidiary ledgers on a regular basis.
2. Financial Reporting
Prepare periodic financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
Provide analytical reports on financial performance and profitability to support strategic decisions.
Analyze departmental and project-based income and expenditures.
3. Contract and Collection Management
Monitor contractual obligations and client services to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
Follow up on receivables, liaise with the legal collection department when necessary.
Record accounts receivable and maintain up-to-date aging and collection reports.
4. Financial and Legal Compliance
Ensure full compliance with local laws, VAT regulations, and accounting standards in Kuwait.
Coordinate and support external auditors during regular audits.
Prepare and submit documentation required by tax and regulatory authorities.
5. Payroll and Dues Management
Prepare monthly payroll statements and manage salary disbursements and employee benefits.
Calculate statutory deductions and allowances in accordance with labor laws.
6. Administrative and Legal Operations Support
Collaborate with the legal department on financial aspects of legal cases and projects.
Prepare financial reports related to tenders and major legal projects.
Candidate Profile:
Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 7 Years experience in the field of Accounting
Required Bilingual Arab Nationals
Proficiency in Odoo ERP (or similar platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Zoho)
