Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

2. Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, focusing on best practices and regulatory requirements, to enhance their understanding of workplace safety and reduce incident rates.
3. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to create and maintain safety plans that align with project timelines and objectives, ensuring all team members are aware of their safety responsibilities.
4. Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes, utilizing analytical tools and methodologies to develop effective corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.
5. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies for reporting and documentation.
6. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the necessary safety gear and are trained on its proper usage.
7. Engage with employees to promote a culture of safety, encouraging open communication about safety concerns and suggestions for improvement to foster a proactive safety environment.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in safety regulations, attending relevant workshops and seminars to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in workplace safety.
