Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction project on-site, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Duties include coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams as well managing daily site operations, enforcing safety and quality standards, resolving issues and delays and ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. The role demands strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and resource management to drive project success from start to finish.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in civil construction, with a strong background in oil & gas projects, preferably involving KOC or KNPC projects
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, site development, and structural work in oil & gas sector standards
  • Solid experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and vendors in high-pressure environment

Skills

  • Proficient in creating and managing detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, delegate responsibilities, and motivate personnel to achieve targets
  • Sound understanding of contract terms (FIDIC, EPC), tendering procedures, and claims management
  • Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and oil & gas facility standards
  • Deep commitment to enforcing safety policies, conducting site audits, and ensuring zero-incident operations
  • Effective in liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to resolve site conflicts and schedule delays efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for progress reports, presentations, and client interactions
  • Flexible and capable of working in challenging environments and fast-paced project timelines
