Job description

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Cementing Laboratory to lead our cementing laboratory operations and provide technical expertise in support of cementing projects within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory testing, cement job simulations, quality assurance, technical support, and continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company HSE requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all cementing laboratory operations.
  • Design and perform cement job simulations, including pre- and post-job analysis.
  • Conduct laboratory testing of cement slurries and evaluate properties such as rheology, fluid loss, thickening time, and compressive strength.
  • Develop and optimize cementing formulations for primary and remedial cementing operations.
  • Provide technical support to Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Business Development teams.
  • Troubleshoot cementing challenges and recommend technical solutions.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operating efficiently.
  • Maintain quality standards, laboratory documentation, SOPs, and testing procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports, case studies, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support client requirements through technical consultation and job design.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies and industry best practices.
  • Support digitalization initiatives and continuous improvement within laboratory operations.
