Job description

Job Summary

The IT Specialist – Supply chain forms a key interface between IT and the Supply Chain Division, leading automation & digitalization initiatives for the Supply Chain group. Manages partners (both internal and external) to deliver quality IT solutions within reasonable time and within budget. The primary responsibility is to understand the end-to-end business processes and constantly drive improvements to maximize productivity thru use of IT systems. Providing continuous system support, enhancements, and ability to influence change is essential. 

 

Job Responsibilities

•   Deliver IT plans & Roadmaps in partnership with business.

•   Work closely with Business Managers & Users, internal IT teams and external partners to ensure new system initiatives are delivered on quality, time and within budget.

•   Constantly researches and stays updated to system advances in Supply Chain & Logistics services domain and thru this knowledge drives adoption of these within the business.

•   Manage external vendor contracts and ensures SLA adherence from Internal and external support teams.

•   Works closely with other IT teams to ensure that all incidents, service requests and change requests are managed within agreed service level agreements and as per acceptable quality standards.

•   Understand end to end key business processes and constantly drives process enhancements thru system-based automations.

•   Works closely with Business managers & teams to ensure Data Governance.

•   Ensure the roles and authorizations are aligned to standards. Work with finance, business teams and IT teams for periodic review of roles and authorizations

•   Maximize the use of system-based controls to reduce reliance on costly and inefficient manual controls.

•   Translate business unit plans into specific IT requirements and programs/projects. 

•   Ensure continuous business IT alignment by conducting periodic IT steering committee meetings, updates to Senior management in Business & IT, Follow up meetings, cost reviews, escalations, CAB meetings and periodic reporting.

•   Implement IT policies and guidelines in the business and work with audit to ensure proper implementation of IT policies and guidelines. 

•   Ensure licenses compliance for all applications used by business.

•   Arrange users training to ensure optimum utilization of system.

•   Required to manage small internal or external IT teams
