Job Summary

The Business Partner is the key and strategic interface between IT and the Business. Managing partners (both internal and external) to deliver quality IT projects on time and within budget is essential. The primary responsibility is to understand the key end-to-end business processes and digitize them with use of best in class technologies. 




Job Responsibilities

•Develop strategic IT plans in partnership with business.
•Research and share new technology and bring industry best practices 
•Prepare business IT budget in view of IT plans
•Project Management to ensure desired objectives are achieved within defined timelines, cost and quality
•Manage external vendors in terms of contracts, SLA, process alignment and payments
•Work with IT to ensure that all incidents, service requests and change requests are managed within agreed service level agreements as per agreed quality standards.
•Be a custodian of business processes with an objective to digitize the processes and eliminate manual work and inefficiencies
•Work with the business and IT to improve Master Data Management (MDM). While primary ownership for MDM is with the business, IT must assist in the process by improving system configurations and controls, and providing timely and regular reports.
•Ensure the roles and authorizations are aligned to standards. Work with finance, business team and COE for periodic review of roles and authorizations.
•Maximize the use of system controls to reduce reliance on costly and inefficient manual controls.
•Translate business unit plans into specific IT requirements and programs/projects. 
•Ensure continuous business IT alignment by conducting periodic IT steering committee meetings, Follow up meetings, cost reviews, escalations, CAB meetings and periodic reporting.
•Implement IT policies and guidelines in the business and work with audit to ensure proper implementation of IT policies and guidelines. 
•Ensure licenses compliance for all applications used by business
•Arrange users training to ensure optimum utilization of system
•Accountable for change requests creation, BRD quality, approvals, UAT and solution delivery
•Accountable for the coordination among different IT and vendor teams to ensure proper and timely solution delivery for the business
 




Candidate Requirements

Education
•Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
•Master Degree or MBA, preferred


Experience
•Delivered and managed complex IT projects.
•Experience of managing stakeholder relationships
•Experience of managing end to end IT delivery, including application support.
•Experience of managing implementation partners (both Fixed Price and Time and Materials) to deliver quality with minimum change requests. 
•Experience of getting to know and understand the business and to identify how IT can best contribute to its success including effective Change Management


Knowledge
•Exposure to digital technologies
•End-to-End business process understanding. 
•Knowledge of the spectrum of possible IT interventions and experience of delivering improved business results.

•Excellent communication skills
