Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Amman, Jordan


This role is responsible for supporting projects and clients to improve their sustainability performance and achieve high green certification ratings.


We envisage success in this role to include:


  • Organizing and delivering sustainable real-estate certification during conceptual design and delivery.
  • Delivering technical workshops and training courses in relation to a newly launched sustainability program and other various topics in the built environment;
  • Maintaining direct control of timelines and budgets for different projects assigned to the consultant.
  • Attending Client meetings as needed on behalf of the wider sustainability and environmental team.
  • Working directly on design and consultancy deliverables including technical reports and supporting calculations.
  • Understanding of green certification systems: LEED & Estidama. WELL & Envision are mandatory.
  • Ensuring that the sustainability requirements of green certification systems in GCC are complied with. Support the review of submissions by other parties and the undertaking of audits.
  • Experience in auditing, reporting and providing reports to clients and green certification authorities
  • Subject to the background of the individual, supporting/leading LCA services.
  • Ensuring existing quality control, quality assurance, submittal protocols, and document flow procedures are followed and successfully implemented.
  • Lead the technical discussions about various sustainability topics with clients and provide necessary advise to secure compliance with the applicable green building rating systems

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 to 7 years’ experience partnered with a Masters or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Architectural or in Sustainability Relevant Discipline.


Preferential consideration will also be given to candidates whom possess additional qualification such as LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or WELL AP or Equivalent.


High level of proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, MS Office, InDesign and other presentation digitalised tools.
