Technical & Executive Duties:

  • Supervises and controls rotating equipment overhaul jobs in mechanical workshops.
  • Supervises and coordinates all fabrication & welding activities related to equipment rebuild and applying skills of welding and cutting techniques and fabrication requirements.
  • Distributes technicians on jobs as per the prepared plan and workload.
  • Check rotating equipment at site in case of any unusual signs found either before or after overhaul.
  • Gives priority to equipment overhaul jobs in coordination with workshop superintendent and the need of plants to ensure continuity of production.
  • Execute all jobs as per daily & weekly plan and close the completed work orders.
  • Manage the emergency works in coordination with Mechanical Workshop Superintendent and the need of plants.
  • Follow up the jobs as per released work orders for rebuildable equipment and set feedback to area planner for completed jobs and any outside requirement.
  • Coordinates with area planner for any shortage of spare parts and prepares and draws spare parts for equipment under overhaul as per work orders.
  • Troubleshoots and analysis failure cases for all equipment’s faults through reads & explains the mechanical equipment manufacturers' catalogues and drawing.
  • Keeps good housekeeping and follows environmental rules by conducting walk-around, ensuring compliance with APC rules and policies.
  • Conducts safety meetings with subordinates and conduct repetitive safety tours to ensure safe workplaces and safe work procedures and to get full compliance with PPEs by his workers.
  • Supervises and plans any maintenance jobs may arise after the official hours and in official holidays and covering the on duty programs.
  • Prepares periodic reports with respect to the related area activities and achievements and to be submitted to Mechanical Workshop superintendent.
  • Carries out any other jobs related to his work and required by his superintendent.
