Subcontracts Specialist

Wood is recruiting for a Subcontracts Specialist to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team, focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role 

Being part of the Subcontracting Department, under the supervision of a Subcontracts Lead / Manager, will participate in the selection and management of construction subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

The key objectives for this role are:

• Prequalify Construction Contractors 
• Prepare tender documentation as well as definition of unit price list tailored to the scope of work 
• Expedite receipt of bids 
• Prepare preliminary bids tabulation 
• Review and agree with the Subcontract Coordinator the short list 
• Organize technical & commercial clarification meetings with Bidders 
• Assist the Subcontract Coordinator in the meeting preparation 
• Lease with technical disciplines in getting technical bids evaluation 
• Prepare final bid tabulation 
• Prepare the draft of the Letter of Award and subsequent contract 
• Expedite contract's acceptance

Expected:

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor Degree in an Engineering or relevant disciplines 
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Good Communication skills 
• Familiar with Office tool 
• Availability to move to the job-site (anywhere)

Desirable:

• 2 / 3 years of experience in subcontracts management
