Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Site HSE supervisor, responsible for supporting the daily coordination and implementation of the HSE management system. For this position we offer a 12 months ad interim contract.


The role will be in support to the Project HSE, monitor work activities and advise management regarding improvements in HSE program implementation and/or performance. Interface with Site management, including (sub) contractors and client representatives. Support management to achieve its HSE goals and objectives. Provide oversight of Field HSE conditions.

Responsibilities:

The key objectives for this role are to:


  • Take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm, and for developing strategies that drive performance and support continuous improvement 
  • Implement HSE policies and procedures 
  • Support developing, implementing, and revising the Project HSE plan 
  • Monitor compliance to HSE standards; include monitoring client HSE requirements; conduct scheduled field visits and inspections; recommend and follow through on corrective actions 
  • Analyze inspection reports; make recommendations and recognize achievements 
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents for root cause identification and preventive action 
  • Support new hire orientation process 
  • Support managing control of health and environmental hazards and exposures 
  • Monitor the HSE recognition program 
  • Actively participate in HEART and PTSA auditing 
  • Risk assessments and hazard control measures 
  • Auditing and inspecting 
  • Monitoring quality of HSE program and process tools implementation 
  • Recognition and rewards program support 
  • Subcontractors Managment

  • Minimum total experience of 15 years in similar role 
  • English knowledge is a plus 
  • Self motivated and able to clearly communicate with contractors at all levels 
  • Reasonable presentation skills 
  • Reasonable written communication skills  
  • Occasionally the employee will be required to walk for 2-4 hours at a time and may be required to climb.
