As our Group Indirect Tax, you will work within our Global Tax team and you will play an integral role in a wide range of VAT projects, including: coordinating different types of VAT and indirect tax-related activities for the benefit of Group affiliates located in different European countries, as well as other parts of the world.  This may include ad-hoc assistance/advise as to the correct VAT treatment of a given operation/transaction or specific service, assistance in tax audits, the drafting of recommendation manuals on internal processes liaising with local finance Directors, tax teams and external advisors.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Indirect tax analysis of supply chain, design of VAT solutions  
  • Gathering of VAT business requirements across the organization (Procurement, AP)  
  • Assist with VAT registration across jurisdictions  
  • In collaboration with IT to perform configuration, testing and maintenance of the VAT functionality within the ERP/tax engine (act as a conduct between the tax/VAT function and the ERP implementation team)  
  • Ensure that systems, documentation (e.g. transportation documentation, combined nomenclature), compliance and reporting are in place and leads continuous improvement projects 
  • Perform VAT process oversight, deliver technical training and develop materials, documentation and manuals
  • Review and timely delivery of VAT returns and other related filings such as EC Sales Listings, Intrastat returns, etc. as necessary to be in compliance with local legislations within Europe and across various jurisdictions  
  • Assist local finance handling VAT audits and disputes 

Your profile:
 


  • You have passion and experience in fiscal matters (especially in VAT) built in a consulting firm or in-house tax function of a multination company
  • You possess a Master’s Degree in Economics or Law  
  • You have developed project management skills, ability to prioritize multiple and tasks and ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects while operating in a fast-paced environment
  • You are a detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are fluent in English
