Job purpose




To assess BOC assignees competence as security guards and implement a gap closure plan by the following: on the job training, mentoring and attend accredited training courses. 



This role will also evaluate assignee’s competence levels to determine whether or not to continue their development or return to BOC.



All training and equipping will be conducted within the boundaries of requisite legal, company and VPSHR protocols.



Responsible for the efficient operational running of Entry Control Point One and Yabani Bridge check point.




Duties and responsibilities



  • Responsible for ensuring the Majnoon Field security plan is implemented.
  • Responsible for the day to day management, leadership and mentorship of BOC (Security) personnel, ensuring that they follow and implement all MFD and Majnoon Field Safety and Security Policies and procedures including VPSHR.
  • Responsible for liaising with BOC Human Resources to ensure all administrative needs of BOC (S) BOC assignees are met.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with BOC assignees, encouraging an environment where assignees are comfortable to share information regarding community issues and atmospherics related to MFD.
  • Responsible for stakeholder engagement and liaison with MoI, BOC, OPF, OoI and any other parties assigned to the Majnoon Field.
  • Responsible for maintaining, develop and implement the ECP1 Security Plan and SOPs
  • Responsible for operational control of Entry Control Point and Yabani Bridge (YB), to ensure correct access protocols are implemented supported by OPF Integration Lead and DS1 Security Manager.
  • Responsible for Access control compliance at Yabani Bridge, supported by Oilfield Police Force Integration Lead.
  • Ensure all external operational and training efforts are conducted strictly within the guidelines of the SGBPs, the GSS and the VPSHRs, as well as any relevant international and national law.
  • Responsible for BOC field wide Oil Field Pass (personnel and vehicle) compliance checks.
  •  Responsible for implementing SOL at ECP 1 as authorized by PSM.
  • Provide guidance to ISF during demonstrations and civil unrest at ECP1 and YB.
  • Supports the DS1 SM in response to incidents at DS1
  • Act as on scene commander for any incident at ECP 1 with support from the DS1 Security Manager
  • Report all security incidents at ECP1 and Yabani Bridge to FSM for input into FIM.
  • Responsible for ensuring BOC Security personnel are fully conversant with all MFD physical security systems including but not limited to handheld readers and turnstile operations.
  • Responsible for identifying competency gaps and implementing a closure plan for BOC Security personnel
  • Responsible for third party training provider to develop accredit training courses for BOC(s) as part of their development and gap closure plan
  • Responsible for managing delivery of resources required to support BOC(s)
  • Responsible for reporting all faults at ECP1 to the appropriate department.
  • Responsible for organizing and running regular security exercises at ECP1 and YB

Qualification & Training requirements



  • High school degree supported by tertiary certificate, diploma or degree and recognition of prior learning (RPL) in security/risk management (preferable but not essential).

Experience



  • Previous Military/Law Enforcement experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ management in commercial security.
  • Two years’ experience in Hostile Environment is a minimum qualifying period.
  • Relevant job experience within the Oil & Gas industry.

Language proficiency, computer and software skills




  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office related software.
  • Advanced English – (verbal & written)
