Who we are looking for


We are seeking an experienced Workday Report Writer to lead and support HR reporting and analytics initiatives within State Street Global HR. The role requires deep knowledge of Workday reporting tools, a strong understanding of HR data flows, and the ability to collaborate with global stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, error-free reports and dashboards while leading a small team of report developers in India


What you will be responsible for


  • Design, build, test, and deploy advanced Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite, calculated fields).  


  • Partner with global and regional HR stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.  


  • Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.  


  • Manage end-to-end report development lifecycle including documentation, testing, validation, and deployment.  


  • Develop and enforce reporting standards, naming conventions, and quality controls.  


  • Troubleshoot data or reporting issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.  


  • Collaborate with peers and business leads across regions to prioritize work, set expectations, and deliver on committed timelines.  


  • Lead and mentor a small team of report developers in India, fostering continuous learning and knowledge sharing.  


  • Ensure delivery of zero-defect reports through structured testing and validation practices.  


  • Continuously assess Workday’s new features and updates to enhance reporting capabilities.  


What we value


  • 6–7 years of total experience, including 3+ years in Workday reporting and analytics.  


  • Strong understanding of HR data structure, business processes, and data flows within Workday HCM.  


  • Hands-on experience with advanced, matrix, composite, and trending reports in Workday.  


  • Working knowledge of Workday Calculated Fields and Workday Prism Analytics (preferred).  


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.  


  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across global teams.  


  • Proven ability to manage workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  


  • Prior experience leading or mentoring junior reporting professionals is a plus.  


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, or a related field.  


  • Workday Reporting or Workday HCM certification preferred.
