Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Wiring Harness Development activities for Passenger Cars as a technical expert
• Drive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with project goals and system requirements
• Guide and mentor team members through technical maturity milestones and build future technical experts
• Manage supplier governance and ensure deliverables meet Mercedes-Benz standards
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
• Conduct packaging studies and analysis of wiring harness components within the vehicle
• Ensure all functional and system-level targets are achieved as per component specifications
• Take ownership of technical release responsibilities for wiring harness topics
• Support team management in achieving overall team-level objectives
Required Skills and Experience:
• 2–6 years of overall industry experience with 3–6 years in Wiring Harness Design & Development
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems, ECUs, and control systems
• Expertise in wiring harness design, connectors, electrification, DMU, and packaging
• Experience in vehicle schematics development and engineering processes
• Knowledge of legal requirements, system-level functions, and testing methodologies
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle and project timelines
• Experience in supplier governance and handling field issues with problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, and PREEVision
• Awareness of PLM systems
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical decision-making skills
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Postgraduate specialization in Design / Electrical / Wiring Harness (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Battery systems and High Voltage wiring
• Experience working with Mercedes-Benz norms, standards, and processes
• Exposure to global projects and cross-cultural collaboration
• German language proficiency is an added advantage
