Key Responsibilities Responsible for weld quality control incl. defect control through regular analysis and training Responsible for controlling heat treatment activities on shop floor Coordination with third party inspection agencies for qualification of new Welding & Brazing procedure, Welder & Brazer performance qualification, Welding & Brazing operator performance qualification. Experience in heavy fabrication industry is desired Experience in welding & brazing processes e.g. GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, Induction Brazing. Knowledge of welding consumable selection, estimation and control is desired Knowledge of reading drawings & customer specifications in enquiry stage Thorough knowledge of international codes & standards like ASME, EN, ISO, AWS Identify process improvement opportunities and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them via projects/initiatives Prepare and maintain welding documents like Weld map, Weld plan, WPS, BPS, PQR, WPQ, WOPQ, BPQ, Welder continuity records etc. Supervision of all fabrication activities going on shop floor for effective implementation of correct processes being followed We don’t need superheroes, just super minds B.E. /B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech (Mechanical, Production, Welding) 5-7 years minimum supervisory experience in heavy fabrication & casting repairing activities. Certification such as CSWIP 3.1, CWI, IWE/IWT or NDT Level-II will be added advantage Ability to learn and understand software and complete transactions pertaining to fabrication or welding operations, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to supervise diverse work groups in a team environment using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Prepare WPS-BPS/PQR/WPQ/BPQ according to ASME section IX, ISO15614-1, ISO 9606-1 Proficient in structural/pressure vessel/piping, GTAW/SMAW/SAW/GMAW/FCAW welding processes & NDT We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
