Job description

Manages, develops, and implements logistics and warehousing projects of varying complexity within the assigned functional area. Partners with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful project delivery by aligning business processes with system capabilities. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in warehousing operations and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), driving operational excellence, process improvements, and scalable solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead multiple logistics and warehousing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within defined scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Facilitate project planning sessions with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and track performance against goals and KPIs.
  • Act as a liaison between Business and IT to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in warehousing and logistics processes, aligning business needs with system capabilities.
  • Drive solution design and implementation leveraging WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, or equivalent systems.
  • Coordinate testing, including development of test cases, execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and facilitation of user training.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and overall project performance.
  • Communicate project status, progress, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Lead and guide cross-functional project teams; provide coaching, mentorship, and developmental feedback.
  • Ensure proper project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned.
  • Foster stakeholder engagement and support change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Continuously improve processes by leveraging data analysis, quality tools, and prior project learnings.

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, and WMS systems.
  • Proven experience managing projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams and driving end-to-end project delivery.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated competence in logistics and warehousing operations, including hands-on experience with WMS platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, or equivalent).
  • This role may require compliance with export control or sanctions regulations.
