• Champion process simplification and automation to improve financial efficiency and data accuracy.
• Support efficiency transformation initiatives, regulatory demands, and operational resilience, while maintaining financial transparency.
People & Talent
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing finance team with strong business partnering, data driven insight, and technology fluency.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that supports innovation and continuous learning.
• Partner with HR and Function leadership to understand workforce cost dynamics and future skills planning.
• Build and execute a People Engagement strategy that encompasses timely & relevant updates as well as social engagement to improve overall employee well being
• Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations for, financial controls, and governance.
• Provide financial leadership in audits, regulatory reviews, and operational risk management.
• Maintain robust financial control frameworks and ensure alignment with internal and external policies.
• Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising and identify and manage forward looking risks.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
