Job Specification: Interaction Designer


Experience:


  • With 3-6 years of relevant experience UI/UX design for Automotive.
  • Familiarity with driver distraction guidelines a plus.       
  • Experience with mock-up and prototype development a plus.
  • Excellent user experience and interface design skills.
  • Interactive prototyping capabilities with standard tools/languages.
  • Understanding of hardware/software/service design challenges including mobile and tablet form factors.

Skills:


  • Creativity and passion for design and the digital evolution of automobiles.
  • Familiarity with user centered design principles, and usability theories, best practices, and methodologies.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq Mockups, Sketch, or an equivalent wireframing application aware of current trends in UI/UX design.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Well-organized and great attention to detail with pixel-perfect craftsmanship.
  • Demonstrated track record in innovative problem solving and design excellence. Portfolio preferred.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Create wireframes, screen-flow diagrams & UI spec documentation for individual applications that follow and ensure consistency with existing Mercedes-Benz Interaction Design Patterns.
  • Consider localization, scalability, and ease of maintenance when developing UI Specifications.
  • Design research and strategy, keeping abreast of social, cultural, and technological trends and developments.
  • Creative collaboration and general team support.
Qualifikationen

Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Information Design, Human Factors, Psychology or a related field.
  • Advanced degree in design, HCI, or related field a plus.
