As a User Experience Designer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user experience goals and requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive and user-centric designs. You will lead the design process from concept development to final implementation, ensuring that design solutions meet user needs and business objectives.


In this role, you will impact the user experience of our products and solutions, ensuring that they are user-centered, intuitive, and meet the needs of our customers. By creating amazing user experiences, you will contribute to the success of our products in the marketplace and enhance overall customer satisfaction.


Your role will also include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end‑to‑end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success

Responsibilities:
  • You will have to own the design execution while working closely with key stakeholders in design, engineering and business stakeholders to solve user needs and business goals
  • Conduct user research for discovery and product definition, and multiple methods of formal and informal user evaluations 
  • Prioritize backlog effectively; communicate clear timelines and status updates at all levels
  • Guide effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, prototypes and user stories 
  • Conduct research and evaluation of designs, as well as emerging technology, industry, and market trends

Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone who:
 


  • Has 4 plus years of experience (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual, product, industrial, user experience, HCI or a related field)
  • Has a strong background in interaction/UX design and continues to be hands-on as an interaction designer for both desktop and Mobile apps.
  • Conducts user research to understand user needs, mental models and working contexts 
  • Synthesizes output of stakeholder research & creates visualizations that effectively summarize key insights related to user and customer needs and behaviours, product definition
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies 
  • Has real-world experience in managing projects & stakeholders
  • Is skilled in standard design & wireframing tools (Adobe CC, Figma)
  • Has excellent communication skills
