You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting technical issues in locomotives during service operations and warranty periods, but also ensure the validity and certification of relevant tools.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring troubleshooting on locomotives during service operations and warranty according to state-of-the-art practices

  • Validating and certifying relevant tools

  • Populating relevant failure databases (FRACAS, Railsys Light, etc.)

  • Guaranteeing effective information flow within the troubleshooting team

  • Contributing to reliability growth and return of experience

  • Providing support in special cases (e.g., FMI)

  • Adhering to EHS rules and work-related processes

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Minimum of an engineering degree/diploma (Electrical) from a recognised university

  • Experience or understanding of electrical schematics and troubleshooting systems such as traction, TCMS, brakes, blowers, lighting, and bogies

  • Knowledge of locomotive power circuits, DJ control circuits, auxiliary power circuits, traction power circuits, pneumatic circuits, SMGR circuits, etc.

  • Familiarity with software uploading/downloading and data analysis

  • A proficiency in English and Hindi languages

  • IT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • 6+ years of experience as a troubleshooter/maintainer in electric locomotives or metro sheds

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting locomotives such as WAG5, WAG7, WAG9, and WAP series

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our inclusive and dynamic working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards leadership roles or technical expertise

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
