Join our team at JPMorganChase, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the pre- and post-trading life cycle operations. Your focus on cash movements, funding coordination, and process improvements will be key to enhancing operational efficiency and driving success.
As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within our operations team, you will process account transfer requests end-to-end (inbound/outbound), including validation, initiation, follow-up, and completion within defined SLAs
Job responsibilities
  • Process account transfer requests end-to-end (inbound/outbound), including validation, initiation, follow-up, and completion within defined SLAs.
  • Review documentation and authorizations for completeness and accuracy; confirm client instructions align with policy and transfer standards.
  • Coordinate with counterparties (e.g., brokers/custodians/transfer agents) to address breaks, rejects, or delays and drive timely resolution.
  • Perform controls and reconciliations, including exception management, audit trails, and required checklists/approvals.
  • Investigate and resolve issues such as missing data, restrictions, holds, asset eligibility, cost basis discrepancies, and settlement breaks.
  • Maintain accurate records in case/transfer tracking systems; ensure notes and status updates are clear for downstream teams.
  • Communicate proactively with client service teams and/or clients (where applicable) on status, requirements, and expected timelines.
  • Support risk and compliance requirements, including escalations for suspicious activity, sanctions/AML flags, or restricted accounts (as applicable).
  • Identify process improvement opportunities (root cause analysis on rejects, recurring exceptions, and cycle-time drivers).
  • Contribute to reporting on volumes, aging items, SLA performance, and error/defect trends.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in operations, financial services, brokerage, custody, or related client servicing roles.
  • Working knowledge of account transfer processes (e.g., ACATS or non-ACATS concepts) and operational workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to execute in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with internal partners and external counterparties.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track work in queues, and escalate appropriately.

  • Full-time; may require coverage for peak transfer periods and time-sensitive cutoffs.
  • Should be willing to work Night Shifts (US business hours)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with brokerage/custody products (equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income) and transfer restrictions.
  • Familiarity with cost basis, tax lots, corporate actions impacts, or settlement concepts.
  • Experience in controls-first environments (audits, QA, operational risk).
  • Lean/process improvement mindset (Kaizen, Six Sigma exposure a plus).
  • Proficiency with Excel (filters, pivot tables preferred) and case management/workflow tools
