Perform and supervise pre-commissioning checks for DC and AC systems including IR, continuity, polarity, interlock, and functional tests.
Verify readiness of electrical installations before energization by ensuring punch-point clearance and compliance with drawings.
Execute commissioning of inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgear, protection relays, and earthing systems.
Assist in grid synchronization and energization activities in coordination with utilities and client representatives.
Ensure commissioning activities comply with statutory regulations, grid codes, and safety standards.
Coordinate with OEM teams (inverter, transformer, relay, SCADA) during testing and commissioning.
Support integration of electrical systems with SCADA and communication networks.
Identify and resolve commissioning-related issues such as protection trips, communication failures, and performance deviations.
Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Follow and enforce electrical safety procedures, LOTO, PTW, and site safety norms during commissioning activities.
Participate in risk assessments and safety audits related to testing and commissioning.
Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, checklists, and energization documents.
Support preparation of as-built drawings, commissioning dossiers, and O&M manuals.
Provide daily updates on commissioning progress to senior engineers or project managers.
Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and EHS teams to ensure commissioning readiness.
Support smooth transition from construction to commissioning and handover to O&M teams.
Bachelor’s / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of solar, power, or EPC projects.
Strong hands-on experience with inverter-based power plants is preferred.
