Test Engineer II – DNA Data Warehouse

We are looking for a Test Engineer II to join our DNA Data Warehouse team, part of CSG’s Advanced Convergent Platform (ACP) organization within the Data and Analytics portfolio. The DNA Data Warehouse supports CSG’s enterprise data warehouse product line, delivering scalable data solutions to several North American clients, with the platform primarily hosted in Snowflake on AWS.

Our team designs, builds, and operates an end‑to‑end data platform that powers reporting, analytics, and downstream applications. We work with a modern technology stack including AWS, Snowflake, Qlik Replicate and Airflow to ingest, transform, and deliver large‑scale billing, customer, and operational data. You will be part of a fast‑paced data warehouse team responsible for securely and reliably sharing data with our customers using cutting‑edge technologies.

Role Overview

As a Test Engineer II focused on database and data‑driven products, you will be a key guardian of data quality, integrity, and performance. Your work will help ensure every release is stable, secure, and optimized, allowing our customers to trust the data they rely on. You will collaborate closely with developers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to proactively identify issues before they reach production, making you a critical contributor to our product success.

What You'll Do :

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for database‑driven applications and services, including feature testing and automated regression testing.
• Validate data accuracy, schema integrity, and query performance across multiple environments.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Perform load, stress, and performance testing to ensure scalability under real‑world conditions.
• Partner with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects efficiently.
• Document test results, create detailed defect reports, and track issues through resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create and execute end‑to‑end test strategies.
• Analyse requirements and contribute to basic test design, development, and ongoing maintenance of manual and automated test suites as per the project needs.
• Perform both automated and manual testing, including functional, application, regression, and integration testing.

What should you have:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with database products or data‑intensive applications.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and stored procedures for testing and validation.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server;  ETL/ELT experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools; prior experience with BDD frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high‑quality, reliable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• A self‑motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership, commitment to quality, and desire for continuous learning.
• Prior experience using AI‑assisted tools for test automation and integrating them into daily testing activities is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
