The Role


As a Telecommunications Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


We are seeking an experienced ELV & ICT Design Engineer to join our design team. The candidate will be responsible for designing Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ICT infrastructure, and security solutions for complex projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, familiarity with international standards, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and future-ready solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


System Design & Engineering:


  • Develop concept, schematic, detailed, and IFC designs for ELV & ICT systems, including but not limited to:
    • Structured Cabling (OSP/ISP), campus backbone, fiber/ copper (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
    • Data Networks: LAN/WAN, Wi Fi, SD Access, network security zoning, rack layouts.
    • Telecom: IP telephony, PABX/SIP, operator interfaces.
    • Electronic Security: CCTV (VMS/analytics), Access Control, physical security equipment (boom barrios, X-Ray Baggage Scanners, DFMD, HHMD, Flap/Swing Barriers, rising bollards), Intrusion detection systems, etc.
    • Life Safety: Fire alarm & detection system, Emergency Telephone, Aspirating Smoke Detection System, Public Address System.
    • Building Systems: BMS/SCADA systems and integration, EMS, Parking Management System, ANPR, Intercom.
    • Audio & Video Systems: Video Conferencing (VC) platforms and codecs, Digital Signage and Information Display Systems, Large Format Displays, LED walls, and projection systems, Audio DSP, microphones, speakers, speakers, amplifiers, and acoustic considerations.
    • Ensure compliance with NFPA, BIS, IEEE, TIA/EIA, NBC and local codes.
    • Develop network architecture diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications.
    • Integrate security systems with building automation and ICT platforms. 

Coordination & Documentation:


  • Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, and technology vendors for seamless integration.
  • Review shop drawings, data sheets and other technical documents and ensure alignment with design intent.
  • Prepare schematics, layouts, design basis report, bill of quantities (BoQ) and technical specifications, technical reports, and design presentations using AutoCAD/Revit and relevant design tools.
  • Support value engineering exercises to optimize cost and performance.

Critical Areas of experience :


  • Data hall rack layout planning.
  • Structured cabling for hyperscale fiber density.
  • Meet-me room planning.
  • Carrier-neutral design philosophy.
  • Fiber redundancy routing strategy.
  • BMS + EPMS + DCIM integration exposure.
  • Zoning strategy for latency-sensitive environments.
  • Experience in large-scale backbone fiber routing.
  • Security zoning in Tier III / IV.
  • Commissioning & validation of ICT systems.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or post-graduation from reputed college or university.
  • 10–12 years of experience in ELV, ICT, and security system design for Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and MS Office; knowledge of BIM workflows is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA, IEEE, TIA/EIA, NBC and local regulations and codes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, coordination and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience:


  • Experience in large-scale projects such as Residential, Commercial, Hospitality Airports, Hospitals, Data Centers, or Industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Sustainable/green building management practices.
