Could you be the full-time Telecom Engineer in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your telecom expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing advanced telecom sub-systems, such as VOIP and telephony, for our Urban and Mainline projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Managers, other Sub-System Leaders, Interface Managers, Civil Contractors, and more), participate in design workshops with customers, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality design documents. You’ll also engage with vendors and support testing and commissioning teams, ensuring seamless integration of telecom systems.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing system design documents, managing interfaces with key stakeholders, and collaborating with OEMs, but also contribute to baseline development activities to enhance our telecom solutions.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Designing VOIP and telephony systems to meet customer requirements

  • Supporting interface activities with other systems such as signalling and rolling stock

  • Participating in technical workshops with customers and stakeholders

  • Supervising and supporting testing and commissioning teams

  • Interfacing with OEMs for telecom sub-systems

  • Ensuring timely closure of design documents with customers

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the rail telecom domain or IT/Telecom industry

  • Experience in designing telecom sub-systems to meet operational and functional requirements

  • Understanding of developing interfaces between telecom systems and other systems like signalling or rolling stock

  • Systems thinking mindset and acumen

  • Strong communication and team orientation skills

  • Flexibility and resilience to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Aptitude for translating customer requirements into architecture and design documents

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with cutting-edge telecom solutions for rail systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative and impactful global projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs

  • Progress towards leadership opportunities in telecom engineering

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
