Role: SAP Hybris Spartacus - Front End Developer
Position: 1
Description:
As a SAP Commerce Spartacus Developer, the candidate will be responsible for
designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and responsive front-end
solutions within the SAP Commerce Cloud platform. The role requires strong expertise in
headless commerce architecture and the ability to build modern e-commerce user interfaces
based on provided designs or mockups.
The candidate will work in an international, distributed, and cross-functional team following
SAFe (Agile) methodologies. The focus will be on developing and maintaining Angular-based e-
commerce applications using Spartacus, integrating with REST APIs (OCC), and ensuring
performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Computer Science, or Information Technology
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Frontend development
Minimum 2+ years of experience with Hybris Spartacus
Minimum 3+ years of experience with Typescript, Angular (version 10+), and RxJS
Strong understanding of Spartacus architecture, including:
Storefront and Core libraries
CMS-driven components and page structure
NgRx state management
Extensibility (custom components, configuration)
Solid experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) and OCC REST APIs integration
Extensive experience in building user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/LESS, and
responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data
Experience with code and issue management software like Git and JIRA
Knowledge of server-side technologies such as Node.js and SSR (Server-Side
Rendering)
Familiarity with Node.js, NPM, and modern frontend build tools
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Responsibilities
Develop e-commerce UI based on provided designs or mockups and modify existing UI
to meet client requirements
Develop and maintain frontend applications using SAP Spartacus built on Angular and
integrated with SAP Commerce Cloud via OCC APIs
Implement new UI components, features, and enhancements aligned with business
requirements and UX/UI designs
Customize and extend Spartacus libraries and modules to fit specific project needs
Implement and enhance frontend integrations with third-party services
Write accessible HTML code that meets WCAG 2.0
Ensure responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility across various devices
Optimize application performance, accessibility, and SEO compliance
Work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to refine and estimate the
Product Backlog
Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups with a proactive
attitude
Support the QA team during the testing process
Keep project documentation and technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS up-to-date
