The System Integration team is crucial in advancing Thomson Reuters' strategic objectives through its M&A activities, with responsibility across all systems within Commercial and Corporate Systems. The team's goal is to enable seamless transitions and integration by utilizing cutting-edge methodologies and implementing best practices. The Technical Lead plays a critical role in designing and overseeing the technical architecture for integration projects, bridging gaps between high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) execution, ensuring coherence and minimizing efficiency losses due to information gaps.




About the Role:



In this opportunity as Technical Lead - System Integrations, you will: 



The Technical Lead - System Integration is responsible for leading the analysis, definition, design, and providing oversight for construction, testing, installation, and modification across multiple medium to large, interdependent systems. This role is essential for ensuring the architecture is communicated, understood, and adhered to by the project team. The Technical Lead partners with all stakeholders on large projects to provide architectural oversight throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring consistency and coherence in technical frameworks.



  • Designs and oversees the technical architecture for integration projects, ensuring alignment with long-term IT strategy.
  • Leads projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, providing architectural oversight throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manages time effectively, proactively assessing risk and dependencies.
  • Engages with cross-functional teams to execute integration solutions.
  • Partners with peer architects to provide ongoing architecture oversight.
  • Collaborates with project managers to incorporate technical dimensions into project status reports.
  • Creates and oversees architectural design consistent with IT strategy.
  • Evaluates and recommends emerging trends in software design and development strategies.
  • Provides design recommendations, application development constructs, and integration solutions.
  • Writes design specifications and other technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems and technical issues across systems and technologies.​
  • Provides input to department objectives and goals, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring integration solutions meet these needs.
  • Applies new technologies in integration solutions and provides recommendations to the project team.
  • May support and develop technical specialists by providing advice, mentoring, training, coaching, and educational opportunities.
  • Leads routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Communicates technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and adjusts communication style to suit the audience.

About You:



You're a fit for the role if your background includes:



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems integration, with strong proficiency in designing and implementing integration solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of existing system solutions and how they interconnect within the organization's infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex integration challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to bridge the needs and solutions between high-level design and low-level design.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and trends.
