Role Purpose
The Technical Lead – PPM provides hands‑on technical leadership for Haleon’s PPM platforms, with a primary focus on technical expertise leveraging Wellspring Accolade.
This role is responsible for solution configuration, creating data model, and integration enablement, ensuring that PPM capabilities support innovation and maintenance portfolios, are well‑integrated with enterprise data lakes, and are fit‑for‑purpose for analytics and decision‑making.
The role works closely with the PPM Product Manager, Architects, Data & Analytics teams, and Wellspring partners to deliver stable, scalable, and compliant PPM solutions.
Key Role Responsibilities
Accolade Configuration & Technical Enablement
Provide hands‑on configuration leadership for Wellspring Accolade, aligned to agreed solution designs.
Configure and support:
Project, program, and portfolio structures
Resource and financial models
Workflow, governance, and reporting configurations
Support configuration across multiple environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD).
Review and validate configurations delivered by Wellspring and system integrators.
PPM Data Model & Backend Understanding
Develop and maintain strong understanding of Accolade’s backend data model, including:
Project, SKU, financial, and resource data
Portfolio roll‑ups and calculations
Support definition and validation of data contracts between Accolade and downstream systems.
Identify and mitigate data quality, performance, and scalability risks.
Integration & Data Lake Enablement
Support design and delivery of integrations between Accolade and enterprise data platforms, including data lakes used for analytics and reporting.
Work with Data Engineering teams to ensure:
Reliable ingestion of PPM data
Clear data lineage and refresh cadences
Alignment with reporting and BI needs
Support API‑based and file‑based integration patterns, under architectural guidance.
Release, Testing & Operational Support
Support PPM releases, upgrades, and enhancements, including:
Impact assessments
Deployment readiness
Post‑release verification
Partner with Testing and Application Support teams to resolve defects and incidents.
Support transition of new capabilities into steady‑state operations.
Quality, Risk & Compliance
Ensure technical activities align with security, risk, and compliance requirements.
Support documentation of technical designs, configuration changes, and integration artefacts.
Proactively identify technical risks and escalate where needed.
Collaboration & Delivery Ways of Working
Work closely with:
PPM Product Managers (priorities and roadmap)
Architects (design guardrails)
Data & Analytics teams (data lake integration)
Wellspring / vendor teams (delivery execution)
Act as a reliable technical point of contact for PPM solution delivery.
Why You? – Skills & Experience
Essential
7–12 years of experience in enterprise application delivery or technical support roles.
Hands‑on experience configuring Wellspring Accolade (or similar PPM platforms).
Strong understanding of PPM data models, including financials, resources, and portfolio structures.
Experience supporting integrations with data lakes or analytics platforms.
Familiarity with API‑based integrations and data exchange patterns.
Experience working in complex, multi‑vendor delivery environments.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Clear communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
Desirable
Experience in Innovation or R&D PPM contexts.
Exposure to data lake(data bricks), Power BI, or enterprise analytics platforms.
Experience working in regulated or controlled environments.
Familiarity with Agile delivery and release management.
Prior experience supporting PPM tool replacements or transformations.
Senior hands‑on technical contributor
Strong focus on configuration, data, and integration execution
Operates under defined architecture and product direction
Key enabler for PPM stability, scalability, and analytics readiness
