Job description

What you’ll be doing:


• Administer, manage, and maintain Linux/Unix servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.


• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to operating systems, hardware, and software across Windows and Linux/Unix platforms.


• Handle infrastructure-related incidents and server migrations providing timely support and resolution for managed issues.


• Perform routine system checks, updates, and patch management to ensure security and system integrity.


• Utilize basic SQL skills to interact with databases, support queries, and assist with database management tasks.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, troubleshoot problems, and implement best practices.


• Maintain and document detailed logs of system configurations, changes, and issues for future reference.


• Ensure disaster recovery procedures are implemented and tested regularly to minimize downtime.


• Assist in the automation of routine tasks and the improvement of system processes.


• Provide support during off-hours for critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations


What you’ll likely bring:


• Graduation degree


• Linux/Unix Administration: 2+ Experience managing and troubleshooting Linux/UNIX based systems (RHEL).


• SQL Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL queries and database operations.


• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve infrastructure related issues efficiently.


• System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Experience in monitoring system performance, analyzing logs, and optimizing system resources.


• Security Awareness: Knowledge of security best practices for both Windows and Linux systems.


• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with teams and document processes.


What could set you apart:


• Experience in the Microsoft suite will be an added advantage.


• Database basic knowledge (SQL, Oracle)


• Experience in shell scripting and PowerShell


• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)


• 2+ years of experience in Technical/Production Support role
