Key responsibilities:
Lead regulatory review across central andstatedevelopments affecting renewable energy and energy transition.
Oversee analysis of CERC/SERC orders and regulations (tariff,open access, DSM, grid code, connectivity) and synthesize implications.
Guideworkstreams on energy storage, green hydrogen, biogas, small hydro and pumped storage, and relevant policy/regulatory reforms.
Prepare strategic recommendations and leadership briefs for decision-making.
Guidestakeholder engagement synthesis into actionable insights.
Ensure quality assurance of monthly reports, thematic insights, benchmarking scans, seminarsummariesand repository outputs.
Minimum qualifications:B.Tech in Engineering disciplines (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical or related) and MBA from a recognized institution (desirable: Master’s in engineering / MBA in Power Management).
Minimum experience:Minimum 15 years of experience in the electricity sector withexpertisein policy and regulatory affairs; proven leadership in regulatory analysis and policy advisory assignments.Experience of working in regulatory affairs with special emphasis onRE.Expertisein RE technologies, power systems modelling (e.g., PLEXOS, PSSE,PyPSA, STELLAR)
Specific experience:Experience of working with central or state regulators
Preferred competencies / skills:
Strong grasp of Indian power sector regulation and market reforms.
Excellent synthesis and drafting skills for government-ready briefs.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams andmaintaindelivery cadence.
High stakeholder credibility and diplomacy.
