Job Description of DP English - 

Position: DP English Teacher
Programme: International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Reports To: DP Coordinator / Principal

Role Summary:
Teach English Language and Literature in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, helping students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while preparing them for IB assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver IB DP English lessons.

  
  

• Prepare students for Internal Assessments, Individual Oral, and final exams.

  
  

• Assess student work using IB criteria and provide feedback.

  
  

• Support students with research and academic writing (including Extended Essay if required).

  
  

• Participate in curriculum planning, meetings, and professional development.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.

  
  

• Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

  
  

• IB DP teaching experience preferred.

  
  

Skills:

• Strong communication and literature teaching skills.

  
  

• Ability to guide students in critical analysis and academic writing.
