Position Overview


RSM US LLP is seeking a highly motivated Supervisor to join RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited in India. This position is part of the Audit Standards and Methodology Group (ASMG) within the National Professional Standards Group (NPSG), working closely with NPSG India counterparts. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about auditing, enjoys collaborating with high-performing teams, and aspires to build a career serving as a technical resource for the audit practice. The ASMG Supervisor will play a key role in establishing and updating audit methodology, tools, training materials, and thought leadership used by engagement teams in performing external audits. The role also includes conducting technical research on new and emerging audit standards and regulatory topics.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role. Percentages reflect the average allocation of time and total 100%.


1. Support Implementation of New Auditing Standards (20%)


Support the development and execution of initiatives related to the implementation of new auditing standards and associated policies.


2. Audit Methodology and Content Development (30%)


Assist in developing and maintaining the firm’s audit manuals, practice aids, and audit tool content by serving as a technical content author.


3. Thought Leadership and Research (20%)


Conduct research on emerging topics and assist in drafting thought leadership materials, including articles for the audit practice and, where applicable, firm-wide distribution.


4. Training Facilitation (10%)


Facilitate national training programs, including in-person courses and webcasts.


5. Technology and Methodology Review (15%)


Assist in reviewing new and emerging technologies and evaluating their impact on audit standards and firm methodology.


6. Other Duties (5%)


Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including limited travel for team meetings, training sessions, and working groups.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Non-qualified candidate: Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience
  • CA qualified with 4+ years of relevant public accounting experience
  • ACCA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of relevant public accounting experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience performing financial statement audits
  • Minimum 2 years of experience serving as a team lead or in-charge overseeing staff on multiple engagements
  • Experience performing and supervising external audits
  • Strong interest in auditing standards, methodology, and practical application
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to direct and deploy staff and senior associates across multiple simultaneous engagements or projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative and respectful team player
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and ideas

  • Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAS, IAASB, and PCAOB standards
