Job Summary:
The Student Counsellor (Psychologist) is responsible for supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological well-being. The role involves providing counselling services, conducting assessments, guiding students on personal and academic concerns, and promoting a positive and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students for emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.
Identify and support students facing psychological, social, or learning challenges.
Conduct psychological assessments and maintain confidential student records.
Work closely with teachers and parents to support student development and well-being.
Design and implement well-being programs, workshops, and awareness sessions for students.
Guide students on stress management, peer relationships, and personal development.
Refer students to external professionals when specialized support is required.
Participate in school meetings, student support discussions, and intervention planning.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in student counselling, preferably in a school environment.
Key Skills:
Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of child and adolescent psychology.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents and teachers.
