The RoleAs a Structural Designer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Supporting structural design and drafting for offshore projects under supervision.
  • Responsible for detailed design and drafting of offshore structural components such as jackets, topsides, decks, modules, and supports.

  • Develop and update 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore structures (platforms, jackets, modules, pipe racks).
  • Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and detailing layouts.
  • Model structural steel components using software such as Tekla, SP3D, or PDMS/E3D.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, AISC, ISO, DNV, ABS).
  • Participate in model reviews, clash checks, and design reviews.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement activities. 

Other Attributes:


  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence of project deliverables.
  • Implement project standards, QA/QC procedures, and best practices.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • Typically 4–7 years of experience in offshore / oil & gas / heavy engineering projects.
  • Experience in offshore structural design and detailing is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and construction practices for offshore structures.
  • Exposure to FEED and detailed engineering projects preferred.Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in structural modeling tools:
    •  Tekla Structures
    •  SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) / AVEVA E3D / PDMS
  • Strong knowledge of:
    •  Structural steel detailing and connections
    •  Offshore structures (jackets, topsides, modules)
  • Structural Detailing knowledge as per design codes:
    •  AWD 1.1, API RP 2A, AISC
  • Ability to generate:
    •  GA drawings, Connection details, elevation and plan views, and shop drawings, and fabrication details
  • Familiar with:
    • Navisworks / clash detection tools
    • Material take-offs and BOM preparation
  • Good understanding of:


    •  Welding symbols, tolerances, and fabrication standards
