Overview PepsiCo’s Digital Transformation requires new business processes, new digital products and new operations outcomes. The transformation towards modern operations in an SRE construct is for all the programs under Digital products, Tech Strategy & Enterprise Product, per the main purpose to drive higher order outcomes to our customers who use our our tools / products to achieve their Business process /value steam KPI - Output resiliency enabled via a full SRE Practice incident prevention / proactive resolution model in the PepsiCo digital products application portfolio of 200+ applications To bring this to life, we are looking for a self-driven, forward thinking Associate Director –SRE Orchestration Solutions, an advanced subject matter expert of Software Development engineering, Application architectures both traditional on-prem and modern cloud native to Design, architect and lead the development of the SRE Observability & Orchestration Solutions integrating with Dev Engineering, product management & Business Operations Enrich Detect Diagnose Resolve Resiliency framework with AI Enabled solutions to traditional and modern application portfolio across the TS&EP organization. Integrate Digital Product Resiliency platform with D&AI PEP Wise and I&O Value Stream Monitoring platforms along with applicable integrations with North America’s Track & Trace platform. Seamless scaling & ease of consumption by SRE orchestration Platform of connecting all components of the ecosystem and preemptively diagnosing anomalies and remediating through automation, minimizing nett business impact driving a “Delighted customer experience” while tightly integrated with SRE Design Enablement & SRE Operations Responsibilities Reporting directly to the SRE - Application Resiliency & Automation Sr. Director, the modern Engineering leader Supports & Influence across teams, the vision and guide a team of engineers to build and support digital products and applications across Tech Strategy & Enterprise Product core priorities Seasoned with hands on developing full stack solutions in Java and Spring / SpringBoot ecosystem, JUnit, Backend Microservices, Serverless Computing and REST API’S, along with Postgres and SQL Drive front end user experience & Mobile user experience leveraged in Digital transformation programs, leveraging React /React native, Angular & Vue.js and a responsive UI/UX design. Adept on front end architecture standards, Performance, accessibility & security to enable seamless diagnostics & resiliency. Oversee hygiene and consumption of Data base and design/define resiliency patterns on Relational and NoSQL databases: MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle & SQL Server. Integrations in hyperscale Public Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and cloud specific PaaS and SaaS solutions Partner with User Experience, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Tech, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams to deliver the Digital Products portfolio Leads architecting & developing SRE orchestration capabilities through a customer obsessed, services driven Detect, diagnose, resolve resiliency platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences Leads & develops engineering solutions that transform towards pre-emptive diagnosis & auto resolvable support ensuring 24x7 availability and performance of mission-critical systems. An integral part of being in front on critical issues driving timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders. Interact with key business partners to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business Evolves our organization as Industry leader in SRE & AI Ops capabilities partnering with both internal Enterprise architecture and external SRE Practitioners Evangelism and education throughout S&T with all levels of leadership to ensure awareness and alignment Application Reliability & Assurance objectives and AI initiatives. An expert of application architectures ensuring we are designing SRE orchestration solution to scale across the cloud native and traditional on-prem application of 200 + apps across Business Processes, Applications, Services (ie. data pipelines) and infra to identify deviations, assess accuracy, prevent faulty output, Dynamic workflow automation to recover & reprocess and provide insights enabled by AI An integral and an organic extension of Dev engineering during solution design not just for the application but across the fullstack defining resiliency solutions aligning across product engineering, Solution architecture other stakeholders Actively engages with D&AI PEP Wise and I&O Value Stream Monitoring platforms along with applicable integrations with North America’s Track & Trace platform, making the DPRF platform integration seamless Leads /influences the definition, collection and analysis of data relevant products systems and their interactions towards digital product resiliency especially related impacting customer satisfaction, Revenue or IT productivity Operate in an ever-evolving landscape of product offerings to deliver first class service to our customers Work closely with customer facing support teams to evolve & empower them with SRE insights via the Detect, Diagnose, resolve, resiliency platform Actively engage and drive AI Ops adoption across teams Qualifications A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field, preferably a master's or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering preferred 16-20 years of experience working within a cross-functional Technology organization in partnership with Sector Leads, Global Software Engineering, Enterprise/Solution Architecture, Information Security. Minimum of 10-12 years of software development and engineering management practice delivering Digital Enablement (Digital Products, Strategy, Operations, etc.) across a Global Technology Function especially towards a north star transformation Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SRE Application Operations, in continuously improving and transforming IT operations ways of working 5+ years experienced on front end user experience & Mobile solutions leveraging React /React native, Angular & Vue.js and a responsive UI/UX design, and being adept in Adept on front end architecture, Performance standards for defining SRE at Design 8+ years of Hand-on experience in Java and Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem, JUnit, Microservices, Serverless Computing, Rest APIs, Kubernetes, Kafka, Data Pipelines, data products, EBI 6-8 years' experience in managing hygiene and consumption of Data base and design/define resiliency patterns on Relational and NoSQL databases: MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle & SQL Server. Adept with 5+ years of experience in hyperscale Public Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and cloud specific PaaS and SaaS solutions Commanding knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design & Working knowledge of programming languages beyond Java, C or C++ (e.g. Ruby, Python, Perl) The ideal leader will be highly quantitative, have great judgment, able to connect dots across workstreams, and efficiently work cross-functionally across teams to ensure SRE orchestrating solutions are meeting customer/end-user expectations  Exceptional business relationship skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally. You can communicate complex technical data to a non-technical person in a concise, clear, and easily understood manner. Ability to create strategic plans spanning multiple time horizons and across multiple partner Teams. Ability to build cross-functional relationships through trust, respect, and partnership. Experience driving consensus around and across virtual teams and multiple functions through clear communication of vision and objectives, thorough planning, effective execution, and realization of desired benefits. Track record consistently delivering excellent results in challenging and/or transformational environments. Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills
