As the Website Accessibility Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing, scheduling, and managing the accountability of accessibility assessments for Colgate-Palmolive websites globally. You will act as the logistical engine behind our accessibility efforts, ensuring that our digital properties align with global standards. You will work side-by-side with Website Accessibility Analysts and serve as the primary liaison between the CP Website Accessibility Center of Excellence (CoE) and our product teams to enforce compliance and drive digital inclusivity.
As our Website Accessibility Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Assessment Coordination & Scheduling: Manage the pipeline and schedule for accessibility audits across C-P’s global digital portfolio. You will be accountable for ensuring assessments are initiated and completed on time by working closely with the Website Accessibility Analyst.
Stakeholder Management & Compliance Enforcement: Act as the main point of contact for GIT product teams, website owners, divisional digital leads, and external suppliers. You will enforce compliance with agreed-upon standards set by the Center of Excellence, ensuring that remediation timelines are met.
Process Governance: Collaborate with the CP Website Accessibility Center of Excellence to ensure the assessment program follows the defined governance model. You will ensure that new websites and feature updates are flagged for assessment prior to launch.
Remediation Tracking & Reporting: Utilize project tracking tools to monitor the status of accessibility defects found by the Analyst. You will provide reporting support on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to leadership regarding compliance scores, risk levels, and remediation progress.
Highly organized: Able to work independently and as part of a team to manage complex schedules across different time zones - 3 years experience.
Project Management Proficiency: Experience with project tracking and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Workfront) to manage workflows and defect backlogs.
Accessibility Literacy: specific knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), ADA, and Section 508 compliance to effectively prioritize issues and communicate with technical teams.
Web Knowledge: Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager), and basic HTML to understand the technical constraints of the teams you are coordinating.
Relationship Building: Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients (Brand Managers, Developers) while being firm regarding compliance standards.
Detail-Oriented: Ensuring that assessment reports are accurate and that "sign-offs" on compliance are rigorously checked before a site goes live.
Agility: Comfortable working with short timelines, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
3 years of hands-on experience in Digital Project Management, QA Coordination, or Traffic Management within a digital environment - MUST.
2 years of experience utilizing project tracking/ticketing systems (specifically JIRA or Workfront) - MUST.
Demonstrable understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and compliance processes.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Developers, QA, Marketing) and external vendors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate compliance requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Priority determination and time management skills are crucial for the role to balance conflicting schedules of various product launches.
Accountability: A strong sense of ownership to ensure that no website "slips through the cracks" without an assessment.
Collaborative Spirit: A proactive approach to working with the Website Accessibility Analyst to remove blockers and facilitate smooth testing cycles.
You'll no longer be considered for this role and your application will be removed from the employer's inbox.
