Job description

Amazon's Retail Business Services (RBS) organization is seeking a results-driven Sr. Program Manager to lead FBA Inventory Optimization across Emerging/Strategic (IES) markets. In this role, you will serve as the single-threaded leader responsible for driving FBA inventory health, reducing inventory defects, and delivering measurable financial impact across IES geographies. You will work at the intersection of seller experience, supply chain operations, and data-driven program management to ensure Amazon's FBA fulfillment network operates at peak efficiency while delivering a best-in-class inventory management experience for FBA sellers.
This is a high-visibility role requiring you to operate across organizational boundaries, influence senior stakeholders, and drive complex programs in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You will partner with Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Seller Experience teams across multiple VP organizations to eliminate upstream inventory defects, optimize seller engagement, and contribute to Amazon's sustainability and Zero-Waste goals.
Key job responsibilities
Inventory Health & Defect Elimination
Own the end-to-end FBA inventory health charter for IES countries, covering unproductive inventory (stranded, suppressed, quarantined, unsellable), excess/unhealthy inventory, and removal defects
Identify, quantify, and prioritize inventory defects using data-driven methodologies including seller contact analysis, defect metrics consoles, and inventory lifecycle tracking
Drive defect elimination by partnering with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to implement upstream fixes, policy changes, and system improvements tailored to IES market dynamics
Establish and maintain a single source of truth for FBA inventory defect metrics across IES countries
Seller Engagement & Experience
Design and execute scalable seller engagement strategies to drive seller-initiated actions on unproductive and excess inventory using automated outreach platforms
Adapt global seller engagement frameworks for IES markets, accounting for local seller behavior, language, regulatory requirements, and adoption patterns
Drive measurable improvements in seller engagement KPIs including delivery rate, open rate, click-through rate, and seller-initiated unit reductions
Advocate for IES-specific seller experience improvements by surfacing pain points to global product and policy teams
Serve as the primary RBS point of contact for FBA-related initiatives in IES countries, building partnerships across SPS, FBA, R&R, Operations, and RISC organizations
Drive alignment with senior stakeholders on IES-specific inventory goals, roadmaps, and investment priorities through structured mechanisms (MBRs, QBRs, roadmap reviews)
Represent IES FBA priorities in global forums such as Upstream Defect Elimination (UDE) reviews and FBA SX Ops MBRs
Navigate ambiguity across fragmented ownership structures, driving consensus on complex trade-offs between operational efficiency, seller experience, compliance, and sustainability
Develop and own the 1–2 year FBA inventory optimization roadmap for IES countries, balancing short-term tactical wins with medium-term strategic investments
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track inventory health, seller engagement effectiveness, and program impact
Define standard processes for P&L impact assessment of identified defects, including downstream impact quantification and COI/CtS attribution
Drive peak readiness initiatives including cube clearance and capacity optimization for IES fulfillment networks
Leverage AI/ML capabilities for scalable defect detection and remediation across IES geographies
Compliance & Sustainability
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 6+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
