POSITION OVERVIEW




We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our dedicated QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining our testing strategy, managing the QA team, and ensuring our products achieve the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle and drive continuous improvement.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




Leadership & Team Management:



  • Lead, mentor, and manage the daily operations of the QA team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.



  • Conduct team performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and training.



  • Forecast and allocate QA resources, including personnel, environments, and tools, to meet project deadlines.




Strategy & Process Improvement:



  • Develop, implement, and own the master test strategy, quality standards, and QA processes across the organization.



  • Establish and enforce quality gates throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements review to release validation.



  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product reliability.



  • Stay current with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve the team's tools and methodologies.




Test Planning & Execution:



  • Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, including scope, coverage goals, and entry/exit criteria for both manual and automated testing.



  • Perform risk assessments to identify quality risks and drive mitigation strategies, prioritizing critical user flows and compliance requirements.



  • Ensure all product releases meet defined quality criteria and provide final quality sign-off based on KPIs and risk analysis.




Technical & Environment Management:



  • Manage the QA test environments, including installing, upgrading, and maintaining Linux-based test servers.



  • Collaborate with server and infrastructure teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve environment-related issues promptly.



  • Evaluate, recommend, and optimize the use of QA tools for automation, performance, and test management.




Collaboration & Reporting



  • Work closely with product, engineering, and support teams to integrate quality standards and gather feedback.



  • Define key quality metrics and provide regular, actionable reports on testing progress, defect trends, and overall product quality to senior management.



  • Lead critical meetings for defect triage, risk reviews, and go/no-go release decisions.




Basic Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.



  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing QA teams.



  • In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes within Agile/Scrum environments.



  • Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium) and scripting.



  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).



  • Experience with performance, load, and security testing.



  • Practical Linux systems administration skills for managing QA environments (installations, scripting, log analysis).



  • Comprehensive experience in mobile application QA (Android & iOS), including environment setup and knowledge of Google Play/Apple App Store submission processes.



  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.



  • Strong understanding of real-time PTT/VoIP protocols and media, including SIP, RTP/SRTP, MCPTT standards, QOS and audio codecs.




PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience testing in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).



  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Git.



  • Experience with mobile performance profiling tools (Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler)



  • Knowledge of security testing and quality assurance compliance standards relevant to MCPTT Standards.
