Job Title: Senior Manager – Technical (EPC / Infrastructure)
Experience: 10–15 Years
Location: Pune (Baner)
Role Purpose:
To lead and manage all technical evaluation, site feasibility, costing validation, and bid support activities for infrastructure tenders, ensuring that all bids are technically sound, executable, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Evaluation of Tenders
- Review tender documents including BOQ, drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Identify technical complexities, scope gaps, and execution challenges
- Ensure technical eligibility and compliance
- Site Feasibility & Assessment
- Plan and supervise site visits for shortlisted tenders
- Evaluate terrain conditions, accessibility, utilities, and logistics
- Ensure proper site understanding before bid submission
- Methodology Development
- Develop execution methodologies for projects
- Validate constructability of tender scope
- Identify optimized approaches based on resources, site conditions, and timelines
- Costing Validation & Pricing Support
- Review and validate detailed cost estimates and rate analysis
- Evaluate productivity assumptions, resource planning, and cost structures
- Support pricing strategy (aggressive, balanced, or safe)
- Ensure commercial viability of bids
- Risk Identification & Mitigation
- Identify technical, site, and execution risks
- Prepare risk assessment reports
- Recommend mitigation strategies
- Bid Decision Support
- Provide technical and commercial inputs for bid/no-bid decisions
- Support strategic evaluation of high-value tenders
- Loss Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze lost bids to identify technical and pricing gaps
- Maintain learnings and improve future bidding strategies
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with execution, planning, procurement, plant & machinery, and finance teams
- Ensure realistic and executable inputs for bidding
- Knowledge Management
- Maintain data on productivity norms, costing benchmarks, and risk patterns
- Standardize technical evaluation processes
Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of EPC / Infrastructure projects
- Expertise in BOQ analysis, estimation, and costing validation
- Knowledge of site execution and project planning
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Good coordination and leadership skills
Experience Required:
- 10–15 years of experience in EPC / Infrastructure sector
- Experience in projects such as roads, railways, bridges, irrigation, or buildings
- Hands-on exposure to estimation, tendering, and execution
