About the department
You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role, you will be part of our Corporate Procurement team, which is responsible for the global indirect spend in Novo Nordisk of app. 90 billion DKK and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. With 180 employees based in Denmark, 300 employees in India, and globally 500 people working in procurement, we are a strategic partner to the execution of the company’s strategy.  


The position
As Sr Manager - Operations Excellence & Controls within Source to Pay (S2P), you'll be the critical bridge between operations delivery and process excellence, driving our 2030 vision of becoming best-in-class S2P. You'll partner closely with our Bangalore operations team and Denmark-based Process Excellence colleagues to deliver end-to-end solutions across the source-to-pay value chain.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Designing and implementing standardized S2P processes to resolve issues efficiently while ensuring strong controls
  • Driving operational excellence through digital tools, automation, and AI with a focus on global alignment and measurable outcomes
  • Leading cross-functional Procurement and Finance projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines across geographies
  • Monitoring KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions for performance enhancement
  • Managing UAT, strengthening system controls, and acting as a change agent rep-resenting GBS Operations in governance discussions

Qualifications:
We're looking for a hands-on go-getter who combines deep S2P expertise with the drive to deliver tangible results. You'll bring:


  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7-9 years in Process Expertise roles focused on Operations and Process Excellence within shared services setup in a multinational corporation, with experience leading teams through peers
  • Proven hands-on experience managing S2P or I2P workflows from a process angle, with a track record of delivering significant KPI improvements by modifying processes and eliminating non-value-added work
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading design, testing and implementation of AP work-flows, utilizing the latest technological solutions including AI to take operational excellence to the next level
  • Deep expertise in the I2P process and significant knowledge of other S2P process-es, with strong understanding of influencing and managing Controls in S2P
  • Good understanding of ERPs, particularly SAP FICO module, and strong working skills in MS productivity tools
  • Strong project management skills with proven track record in supporting operational excellence, process efficiency, and Lean projects
  • Solid experience working in a multi-cultural environment within a leading global organization in a matrix structure
  • Experience from an organization recognized for delivering strong customer experience is a significant advantage
