Job description

Main Purpose:

To lead end-to-end business planning and market-driven strategy for a new and clean energy business establishing commercial, operational and financial frameworks that enable successful market entry, scale-up and long-term value creation.


Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop and drive the business planning framework for a new-to-market business covering market positioning, product strategy, commercial models and growth pathways.
  • Build a 360-degree view of the business environment including customer needs, competitive landscape, pricing structures, regulatory context and supply chain considerations.
  • Translate market and strategic insights into business plans, investment cases and phased execution roadmaps.
  • Work closely with technology, projects, finance, marketing, regulatory and operations teams to align plans with technical feasibility and execution realities.
  • Support leadership in evaluating strategic options, partnerships and go-to-market approaches for early-stage business models.
  • Lead development of demand, revenue and cost assumptions for project and portfolio level evaluations.
  • Establish planning processes, templates and governance for tracking business readiness and performance against plan.
  • Provide scenario analysis and risk-based recommendations for market entry, scale-up and portfolio decisions.
  • Prepare and present business plans, strategic papers and management updates for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Guide and mentor team members contributing to market analysis, business modelling and planning activities.
