ABOUT THE ROLE 


Role Description: 


Amgen is seeking a Sr Associate Software Engineer to contribute to designing, building, maintaining, analyzing, and front-end development in React or .Net to enhance system capabilities, build new features and dashboards. This role involves working with large datasets, developing features to provide the best user experience that is reliable, and efficiently managed. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and experience with React, .NET, Java Script, HTML and AWS.  


Roles & Responsibilities:  


  • Design, build responsive, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using .Net, React, Javascript or HTML 
  • Use .NET frameworks to integrate UI with back-end APIs/services. 
  • Develop Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce pages for Salesforce UI customization 
  • Leverage React for dynamic single-page applications (SPA) 
  • Bridge UI between front-end frameworks such as React, .Net, JavaScript, HTML) and enterprise systems 
  • Ensure smooth communication between different tech stacks using APIs, middleware, or microservices 
  • Maintain modular, reusable, and testable code 
  • Partner with back-end developers to define APIs and data contracts 
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure high test coverage and defect-free delivery.  
  • Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive data 
  • Leverage cloud platforms (AWS preferred) to build scalable and efficient solutions 
  • Collaborate with Architects, Business SMEs, and Data Engineers to design and develop robust UX to meet fast-paced business needs. 
  • Identify and resolve complex data-related UX challenges to create custom dashboards and widgets 
  • Propose improvements in performance, design, and maintainability 
  • Adhere to best practices for coding, testing, and designing reusable code/component 
  • Drive development and testing through AI tools such as Co-Pilot, Claude and Open AI, etc. 
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide estimations on technical implementation 

Basic Qualifications and Experience: 


  • Master’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience  OR 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR 
  • Diploma and 7 to 11 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience 

Functional Skills: 


Must-Have Skills  


  • Hands-on front end development experience working in React and/or .Net Framework 
  • Solid experience with React.js 
  • Knowledge of component-based architecture and reusable UI patterns. 
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling frameworks (Sass, Styled Components) 
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core for building and integrating UI components 
  • Understanding of API integration (REST, GraphQL) with .NET backends 
  • Ability to translate wireframes & mockups into pixel-perfect UIs. 
  • Strong knowledge of responsive web design (RWD) and mobile-first development. 

Good-to-Have Skills: 


  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Components or Veeva MyInsights 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS). 
  • Understanding of Salesforce data models, APIs, and platform limits for UI design 
  • Proficiency in using AI tools 

Professional Certifications  


  • Certified AWS Professional or Associate certification (preferred) 
  • Certified AI Associate/Professional 

Soft Skills: 


  • Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Demonstrated awareness of how to function in a team setting 
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
