Developer Job Description



As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for customizing and implementing a sophisticated enterprise banking software solution platform in a fast-paced results-oriented environment. The environment is .NET with a SQL backend and each project contains integrations with third party vendors including proprietary credit union and bank host systems. The role is expected to collaborate with Tech Leads, Business Analysts and PMs, as well as with the rest of the practices that make up the implementation team.



Essential Job Responsibilities:



  • Configure, customize, upgrade, support and troubleshoot all technical issues related to the internet banking solution within both on-premises and hosted environments.
  • Work with third party vendors to define technical requirements and implement solutions to interface with various external systems.
  • Work with senior management to define and implement technical processes and procedures within department focusing on client satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Manage the workload of technical resources within the team based on timelines established by Project and Senior Managers
  • Communicating status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders
  • Maintaining and creating technical project documentation and client worksheets
  • Work closely with Product Development and Professional Services developers to resolve complex technical issues related to current projects.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Manage delivery of Code Change requests (end-to-end steps for promoting code across environments, any required requests, approval, validation upon installation, etc.)
  • Accountable for driving production incidents to resolution, by analyzing and coordinating with the required parties and always acting as the owner and leader of the situation.
  • Discuss technical issues with Team and Tech Lead.
  • Understand the impact of changes across the application.


Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:



  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience
  • Financial industry experience
  • Strong self-motivation with excellent time management skills, including ability to work on time sensitive projects to meet deliverables by expected due date.
  • Analytical skills to assess client business needs, identify solutions, and manage requirements.
  • Work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with good follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Initiate and or attend troubleshooting sessions during regular and after hours when needed on priority.
  • Work with internal teams on process/automation improvements.
  • Manage priorities within and across projects based on a fast-paced culture while continuing to focus on quality of deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology/science or related fields
  • 3 - 6 years proven experience with client implementations / services, dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Technically sound in IIS, ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server, Java Script, and jQuery.
  • Good troubleshooting skills & communication skills
  • Demonstrated planning and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform successfully in a high-pressure, fast pace working environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Careful attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
