Role Summary


We are looking for a hands-on Enterprise Application Engineer with deep focus on Disaster Recovery (DR) and application resiliency for mission-critical enterprise applications. The role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and operating DR solutions across on-prem data centers and multi-cloud environments, ensuring applications consistently meet RTO/RPO, availability, and business continuity requirements.


Key Responsibilities


· Own end-to-end application DR architecture and execution for enterprise workloads.


· Design and implement application-level DR solutions across DC and multi-cloud platforms.


· Define, validate, and govern RTO/RPO targets in alignment with business requirements.


· Perform hands-on DR build activities, including configuration of replication, recovery workflows, and dependency mapping.


· Lead DR drills, failover, and failback exercises, ensuring successful recovery and documenting outcomes.


· Support and administer ERP and enterprise applications such as Oracle EBS and PeopleSoft in DR scenarios.


· Provide deep technical support for middleware platforms, with strong focus on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS).


· Troubleshoot and resolve DR-related issues across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.


· Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, storage, network, and security teams to ensure DR readiness.


· Support application DR builds and migrations across regions, sites, and cloud environments.


· Participate in customer technical discussions to explain DR architecture, recovery approach, and test results.


· Maintain DR runbooks, recovery procedures, and architecture documentation.



Qualifications

Required Skills


· Strong hands-on experience in enterprise application DR and resiliency.


· Proven experience with Oracle EBS and PeopleSoft in DR environments.


· Deep technical expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) (mandatory) and Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS).


· Hands-on experience with Java, .NET, and mobile application stacks in recovery scenarios.


· Strong understanding of application dependency mapping, recovery sequencing, and validation.


· Experience defining and delivering against RTO/RPO commitments.


· Practical exposure to on-prem data centers and multi-cloud DR architectures.


· Ability to lead and execute complex recovery operations under pressure.


· Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.


Preferred Skills


· Experience with cloud-based DR solutions (AWS / Azure / OCI).


· Exposure to cross-region and multi-site recovery designs.


· Knowledge of load balancing, clustering, and HA configurations for DR.


· Familiarity with backup, replication, and orchestration tools.


· Experience in enterprise DR audits and compliance exercises.


· Relevant application, middleware, or cloud certifications (preferred).
