Manufacturing and Quality Technical Hub Hyderabad
Lilly has made a strategic investment of more than $1B dollars toestablisha Manufacturing and Quality technical hub. This hub will oversee the significant investment in contract manufacturing of starting materials and intermediates for API manufacturing in India and the technical services responsible for managing the scientific agenda for manufacturing and quality. The hub will be recruiting top talent in the areas of process engineering, chemistry, analytical and data sciences to build a cutting-edge scientific organization supporting the exciting manufacturing portfolio of Lilly.
Job Description
Role Overviewand Key Responsibilities:
Provides technical support and performs analytical development work for protein synthesis lab process development through design and execution of experiments and development of analytical methods
Key Responsibilities:
Safety culturelab management:
To ensure thatappropriate personalprotectiveequipment’sin the laboratory premisesareavailableand followsthe safetyprecautions.
Ensure the goodadministrationand housekeeping of the PRD department work area.
People Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of process chemistsaligned with Lilly culture.
Set clearobjectives, provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
Promote a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, safety, and compliance.
Work as a team and take responsibilitywithaccountability.
Scientific & Technical Leadership
Understand the scientific principlesrequiredfor analytical and semi-preparativescale separation of manufacturing intermediates and drug substances in peptide
Understand the chemistry and stability of peptides
Develop analytical methods for key process steps in synthesis of peptides
Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to deepen process understanding andoptimizereaction conditions
Understand analytical instrumentation including LC, GC, titration, and mass spectrometry
Provide technical support to process development areas if needed
Participate in technology transfer of analytical methods
Document all work inan appropriate manner
Education Requirement:
Ph.D. inscientificdisciplines of ChemistryandAnalytical chemistry/Ph.D+ Post Doc in Chemistry (focusing moreprocesschemistry)with12+ years
Other Information:
Some travel (domestic and international) less than 5% may berequired.
