Job description

The Solution Owner for Non-Windows Device Management is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of Nokia’s non-Windows endpoint ecosystem, including Mac, Linux, and mobile devices. This role is part of the Digital Workplace Services team and ensures that non-Windows users receive a seamless, secure, and productive IT experience comparable to the Windows environment.


This is a hands-on technical expert role that requires deep expertise in non-Windows platforms and the ability to define and execute a technology roadmap that meets the needs of Nokia’s diverse user community, including R&D teams with specialized requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the solution architecture, roadmap, and operational delivery for non-Windows device management (macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
  • Define and maintain configuration standards, security baselines, and management policies for non-Windows endpoints.


  • Manage and evolve the MDM/UEM platform capabilities for Mac and mobile devices (e.g., Jamf, Intune for Mac/mobile).


  • Be an active member of the Nokia Linux community and align with Nokia R&D and business Linux stakeholders.


  • Support Nokia end users with regards to using IT services on non-Windows endpoints.


  • Set up and manage an IT support model for non-Windows endpoints in collaboration with service delivery teams.


  • Act as subject matter expert for non-Windows platforms within the Digital Workplace organization and drive continuous improvements.


  • Work as a team member in IT projects and drive the design related to non-Windows endpoints, in coordination with all stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with Security, IAM, and Network teams to ensure compliant and secure non-Windows device operations.


  • Monitor service quality KPIs and drive improvement initiatives for the non-Windows device estate.



Qualifications:

Professional Experience:


  • 7+ years of IT experience related to IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, or IT service delivery.


  • Proven experience with macOS management tools (Jamf Pro, Munki) and Linux distributions and management.


  • Knowledge of MDM/UEM platforms for non-Windows device management.


  • Experience in managing service suppliers, specifically tracking performance toward service descriptions, service levels, reporting metrics, and KPIs.


  • Experience working in a complex, multi-vendor IT environment within a global enterprise.


Knowledge:


  • Good understanding of Cyber Security processes and standards as they apply to endpoint management.


  • Understanding of complex stakeholder requirements related to non-Windows platforms and the ability to translate them into solution and design.


  • Knowledge of O365 infrastructure, Azure, MS services, and configurations.


  • Quality mindset for creating, analyzing, and identifying improvements, efficiencies, and trends.


  • Willingness to learn new technologies and understand their benefit for Nokia.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
