Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the continuity, quality, and performance of IT hardware engineering environments, focusing on PCB technologies.
  • Manage tool and process release lifecycles, change management, and solution design, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Support and enhance PCB EDA design environments, including circuit board design and simulation applications, to optimize workflows.
  • Develop automation for design tools, external interfaces, and standalone scripts, improving efficiency and reducing manual efforts.
  • Collaborate with Service Owners, Partners, and R&D Leads to plan and implement improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Drive continuous service improvement by identifying areas for enhancement and motivating stakeholders to embrace change.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in hardware engineering, PCB design, and automation technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices in hardware engineering and IT operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in hardware engineering environments, with a strong focus on PCB design tools supporting Siemens EDM Expedition.
  • Expertise in design data management tools, particularly Siemens EDM Library, including deployment, upgrades, and configuration of essential components.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Java, JSON, Python, Perl, Bash, VBS) and familiarity with developing web applications, REST APIs, and data integration frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of PCB design principles and library management, enabling effective collaboration with end users and addressing their requirements/issues.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management, including performance optimization, storage management, backup/snapshot auditing, basic database troubleshooting, and firewall management.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and software development best practices.
  • Experience with database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres) and an understanding of Power BI and PLM system integration.
  • Specialization in process automation, software development, system integration, or hardware engineering environments is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, always seeking opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
