Role Summary


We are seeking an accomplished Senior Functional Consultant – Sage 200 ERP to lead and support the rollout, enhancement, and stabilization of Sage 200 ERP instances across Johnson Controls’ UK & Ireland sites. The role will partner closely with regional finance and operations teams, global IT, and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery aligned with UK & Ireland business, statutory, and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities


Sage 200 ERP Implementation & Rollout


  • Lead end-to-end functional delivery of Sage 200 ERP implementations for UK & Ireland entities, from discovery through post-go-live support.
  • Conduct detailed business process workshops with regional finance, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Configure and optimize Sage 200 modules to meet UK & Ireland statutory, accounting, and operational needs.
  • Ensure system design aligns with Johnson Controls’ global ERP and IT standards.

Functional Expertise


  • Provide deep functional knowledge across Sage 200 modules, including:
    • Financials (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets)
    • Inventory & Warehouse Management
    • Purchasing & Sales Order Processing
    • Projects / Job Costing (if applicable)
    • Reporting, Financial Statements, and Management Information
  • Advise on best practices and process harmonization across UK & Ireland sites.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management


  • Act as the primary functional liaison between UK & Ireland business users, Johnson Controls global IT, and external Sage implementation partners.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, customizations, and data migration.

Testing, Data & Go-Live Support


  • Define test strategies and support System Testing and UAT with UK & Ireland users.
  • Validate data migration, chart of accounts, tax configurations, and opening balances.
  • Provide hypercare and post-go-live functional support to ensure smooth adoption.

Compliance & Localization


  • Ensure compliance with UK & Ireland regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Support audits and statutory reporting needs using Sage 200 outputs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to localization and regulatory gaps.

Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement


  • Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
  • Contribute to ERP governance, documentation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills


Mandatory


  • 10+ years of hands-on Sage 200 ERP functional consulting experience
  • Proven track record of multi-site ERP implementations
  • Expertise in business process mapping and ERP solution design
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership
  • Strong documentation skills (BRD, FSD, test scripts, training manuals)
  • Experience working within large multinational or matrix organizations

Preferred / Good to Have


  • Prior exposure to service, or project-based environments
  • Knowledge of Sage integrations, reporting tools, or third‑party add-ons
  • Experience collaborating with offshore/onshore delivery models

Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related discipline
  • Sage ERP certifications or equivalent functional credentials are a strong advantage
