A Day in the LifeAs a Software Test Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior testers, and drive continuous improvement in test processes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


  • Design, implement, and maintain manual test cases for Non product software applications.
  • Develop test plans, test scripts, and test data for functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with software developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, work with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Continuously improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in reviews and ensure best practices in software quality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO for medical devices).

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • BE/BTech, ME/MTech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer 4 to 8 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA/TestRail.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Hands‑on validation experience in the Embedded Systems domain.
  • Experience in testing software for medical devices or other regulated industries.
  • ISTQB or similar certification good to have.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation good to have.
